I often consider how much energy I devote to photography. Much, of course, and for energy I could mean time ( especially ), money ( in a reasonable way ), waitings ( sometimes frustrated ), curiosity, desire for new horizons and new visions ...
For most people , today as yesterday, a concern of this type, that does not provide an economic return, is beyond comprehension. On the contrary, I believe that many, if not all who read these words, evidently photo enthusiasts, clearly see the reasons that encourage people to invest time and money and endure hardships to capture THAT image that will pay you for everything. Reasons that I identify in a path of personal growth, in the expression of its proper sensitivity, in striving for the constant search for beauty around us , whose internalization can only make us better people. Moreover, the desire to share these views with other eyes and other minds, to appreciate together, in a world that sometimes seems to overwhelm us with ugliness , all the wonderful beauty that exists alongside us . And , finally , an attempt to give a small contribution in raising awareness of what we might lose.
I do what I can in my scarce free time, but after more than twenty years of wildlife photography this activity is still a lot of fun for me .

Spesso considero quanta energia dedico alla fotografia . Molta, certamente, e per energia potrei intendere il tempo ( sopratutto ), denaro ( ragionevolmente ), attese ( a volte frustrate ), curiosità, desiderio di nuovi orizzonti e nuove visioni...
Per i più, oggi come ieri, un'interesse di questo tipo, che non assicura un ritorno economico, appare incomprensibile. Credo invece che molti, se non tutti quelli che leggeranno queste parole, evidentemente già appassionati di fotografia, abbiano ben chiari i motivi che spingono ad investire tempo e denaro e a sopportare disagi e attese pur di catturare QUELLA immagine che ti ripagherà di tutto. Motivi che io identifico in un percorso di crescita personale, nell'espressione della propria sensibilità, nella tensione verso la costante ricerca del Bello presente intorno a noi, la cui interiorizzazione non può che renderci persone migliori. Inoltre, la voglia di condividere queste visioni con altri occhi e altre menti, per apprezzare insieme, in un mondo che talvolta sembra sommergerci di brutture, quanto di meraviglioso abbiamo accanto. E, infine, il tentativo di testimoniare la bellezza della Natura per dare un seppur minimo contributo nell'aumentare la consapevolezza di ciò che potremmo perdere.
Tutto quello che faccio riesco a farlo nel poco tempo libero a disposizione, ma a questo corrisponde ancora oggi , dopo più di venti anni di fotografia naturalistica, un gran divertimento.
Spero di condividere con qualcuno di Voi queste visioni anche sul campo.
Tutte le foto ritraggono animali liberi nel loro ambiente naturale ( se non altrimenti specificato ).
