Hi John,
I remember you talking about your new scanner but can't find anything on your site. Could you please refresh my ever shrinking memory.
Cheers,
Michael Parkinson (parpho)

Hi John

Purely by chance I came across your galleries and I was hooked. Whilst I strive to put in images that appeal to me, you are doing something else entirely. You are putting together important memories and are documenting your life.

I loved looking through it, although I felt like a Peeping Tom sometimes.

I would love you to have a look at my work when you have time and would appreciate your comments.

You have a good eye for color and composition, a grasp of things that are essentially interesting and/or comical and most importantly a sense of humor, love and respect for a very pretty lady. Your galleries are a pleasure.

Hi john,
i have been looking at your photographs of Quito, I enjoyed looking at them thank you.
In may 2013 I am going to Quito and i was wondering how to go to the teleferico station, Is it far from downtown and easy to reach by taxi? is quito relatively safe during the day while taking the usual common sense rules on board? Any information would be greatly appreciated.thanks,Gordon Stocks,Galashiels,Scotland. stocksgordon@yahoo.es

John,

I really enjoyed looking at one or two of your galleries. I need a few more hours to get through all of them.

Can any one please assist with providing contact info for John Cross. My company would like to buy the rights to some of his photos, but can't find any contact info.
Thank you in advance for your help.

thanks for the comment! Yep, I live in Hillsboro. :-) But would you believe I have never been to the aviation museum in Tillamook? The cheese factory is too diverting. I've made a note ..

I hope you enjoyed your summer there!

I didn't think you'd be looking at that gallery, so I left the "Tillamook Cheese Factory" out !

Thanks for viewing my "Flight Over Waterloo" images. You certainly have a lot more experience than I and your comment is most appreciated. Enjoyed going through some of your photos too - you're a lot higher up than we were in the ultralight :) Thanks for sharing.

John, nice shots of your GC-1B. N2398B rings a bell. Did it come from 21D in Minnesota?

John,
Thank you for the nice comment on my airplane picture. Last year was my first time at the air races. I loved it! (but I also love airplanes). My friend is an air race director and took me out to one of the pylons. This year we are going out for their practice runs.

Hi John,

I totally agree with you about the Connie. I am photograhping airplanes for almost 20 years now and that Connie in Australia was the first one I saw flying. Great opportunity!

Marcel

Hi, John,

thx for stopping by my galleries. I enjoyed your photos and the AN-2 brought back some memories. I traveled to Russia on and off for a few years in the early nineties and on the airport in Ufa I once saw about 50 of them all parked on the grass next to the terminal building. Quite a sight, but unfortunately I was not in a position to take photographs at that moment.

Hello John,
I really liked looking through your test shots. It's interesting to see how we progress and what pops into our minds as something we would want to test. What would happen if I did this or tried that. One thing I have learned is I may have had one particular goal in mind during a test and it may have failed but I am trying to look at the images with a more critical eye and ask myself what worked in this experiment that I hadn't intended. One thing I seem to be dwelling on lately is adding more dynamic range to hard to capture images using Merge to HDR in Photoshop. Anyway, thanks for sharing.

BTW, you need to make some stands to hold all your mirrors, then you can really go crazy. The best idea I can come up with for that is some old salvaged desk lamps with the adjustable goosenecks. :)

Wonderful gallery! The photo of the Cessna 170 reminds me of the old but smooth curvy lines of the Cessna 140 (what I unofficially soloed in as a kid). The 170, Swift, and Mooney... each aircraft made me want to go out and burn some 100LL (or 87). Good work :)

Thank you for your help in identifying the T-2 buckeye. I had searched quite a bit and came no close to identifying the plane.
