I will always consider myself a beginner, and willing to pay my dues to those who went before me. As a beginner here, I welcome all comments (and critiques) as helpful guidelines on this new field for me:"digital". I have not found this medium to be easy. Even though I am an experienced photographer in a "wet lab", I find the difficulties of the "dry lab" (photoshop-creative suite 3) to be overwhelming, and there is really not much to commend it to me. I still prefer to compose and adjudicate the parameters influencing my creative endeavors without the technofrills. I know how to focus and I understand the relationship of aperture to shutter speed based on ISO, The soul of the photograph is still relational to the quality of light and its influence on how you perceive the subject. I have not added many photos to my galleries, but I visit this site daily for inspiration and guidance.
I spend the other part of my retirement time in music, so you'll probably notice the prevalence of session and performance photos.
If I could figure out how to add music to my photos, I would do so. Unless it took too much of my precious time.
Thanks to ALL the supporters, and the contributors.
