Interesting perspective you have there...this is the difference between a cameraman and a photographer.The muted color tone looks very good...gives a very Lomo feel to it!!! hey there, there're so many pics which took my breath away. and its not only the final product, its the process. i saw the process, how you crouched so close to the river bed to get the magical shot, how you twisted and bent your body to capture the beauty of the forest. it just touches me, really.if there is a highest appraisal i can give to an artist, you're sure to get it. i mean how many people can actually stop and admire, and breathe in the beauty around us? you've gone an extra step, you've probably captured what i call 'eternal beauty' and for that, i'm grateful to you. being a non-photographer, i guess what i'll do is use my 'Neurox', as Dr. Tang Bor Luen would say :), and i'd be content i guess. nice knowing u :) its been inspiring.

I'd have to say, I'm terribly impressed with your work Yaohui! Especially having gone to school with you, and then not being in contact, and then chancing upon this! I had no idea you were into photography, or that you were so good! I love ur work - exceptional lighting, shading, picture composition and technically fabulous. But what I loved even more is what you managed to capture, the depth and emotion and how you captured feelings of solitude and social love/empathy side by side. If I become the film producer I want to, and should I need a director of photography, I hope you do the honours! Take care, and keep doing what you do!

Hi Sathea! :-) I've always liked the mood & lighting in many of your images. I think you are extremely good at taking people portraits & candids! Are you still have much fun with your 4300 (I see that you are also using a 4500 & a film SLR)? I still have and use mine, although more often I use my newly acquired DSLR. take care, Vera. :-)

The black and white pics have this sense of nostalgia, very well captured. It was almost like travellin down memory lane, with the song "Starry starry nite" as the background music. =) Other than the monochromatic prints, I think the other pics are all rather unique in their own ways. The "rules" pic is pretty cool. Kinda ironic, coz they're written so casualli, almost like graffiti. I wld suggest the captions be constructed with a twist, such as the "colourful patterns" pic be given the name "reflections"? Haha, juz a suggestion. =) Nway, most of the pics look very professional. Keep it up! =) Lookin forward to seeing more pics. Maybe can top up the "memory" category? =P
